Willis Chase Manter's Obituary
Willis Chase Manter, 95, died, March 17, 2017. He was born February 2, 1922, to Selden and Inez Manter. His early years were spent in his native New England where he enjoyed motorcycles, making maple syrup, and establishing life long friendships. The majority of his life was spent in Michigan. He was CEO of Manter Technologies and owner and operator of Marine City Airport.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and his seven children, Charles Manter, Paula Hook, Linda Gordon, Ronald Manter, Brian Manter, Duane Manter, and Donna Collins, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Warren Manter and sister Ruby Easton, and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by a dear friend and his office manager Penny Faucher.
Visitation will be held at Young's Funeral Home in China, Michigan on Monday, March 20 from 2:00pm-5:00p.m. with a service conducted at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be a later date in his home state of Maine.
