To Mack and the rest of Bill's family. I am so sorry for your loss. Bill and I worked together at Caniff Service Center for 10 years and every day was great. I remember one story you might like. I told the office staff and leaders that I thinking of walking in the Susan Kohmen 2 day 25 mile, but it would cost around $1500.00 to just participate. Well Bill takes off in the building and solicits the 140 people that works there and comes back with over $1500.00. Well Bill made my mind up for me. To this day my feet haven't recovered. Bill was like that. He would find a mission and just run with it. I enjoyed all my time God gave me with Bill.

Bill Gorde was a kind, compassionate soul with a big heart. He was respected and admired by those of us who worked with him at Caniff Service Center. When he became ill, he continued working and never complained. Bill pressed beyond the norm and showed me what it meant to persevere! He managed to keep smiling and played jokes on us as well. I can still visualize the smile on his face and that strange chuckle when he thought he had played a good one on you! I've asked about him often and sent words of encouragement by his friends. Rest In Heaven, Bill!
