Valeria J. Maitland's Obituary
Valeria J. Maitland, age 92, formerly of Memphis, Michigan, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, on May 16, 2016. She was born December 5, 1923 in Detroit. On June 8, 1944 Valeria married Andrew James Maitland. He preceded her in death in January of 1981.
She is survived by daughters, Carol (Jules) Bougenoy, Barbara Kliemann (Al Nugent) and Catherine Maitland, grandchildren, Randy (Cheri) Bougenoy, Lynn (Mark) Hodgins, Butch Kliemann and Amy Westrick (Kyle Turner), great grandchildren, Ryan Bougenoy, Tiffany Spranger, Rachel Bougenoy, Trevor Hodgins, Butch Kliemann, Yogi and Wrigley Edahl and great great granddaughter, Isabella Rose Rivera. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Westrick.
Mass of Resurrection will be Monday May 23rd at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in Memphis Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 2 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recital at 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10 to 11 a.m. at church prior to mass. Funeral luncheon following interment will be at Maniaci Banquet Center, 69227 W. Main St. Richmond, Mich.
