Donna Koslow

Birth date: Apr 5, 1955 Death date: Oct 28, 2025
Susan Gibson Uppleger, age 70, of East China Twp. passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, with her family by her side on October 28, 2025. She was born on April 5, 1955, to Jerry and the late Kay Gibson. Sue was a graduate of St Read Obituary

Jerry, Scott, Emily and kids--I am very sorry to hear of Sue's passing. I have many early memories of her growing up, one of 14 grandchildren in the Engelgau clan. She loved our extended family Christmas parties. I've kept a Christmas card she sent me several years ago, telling me how much she cherished and missed those times. I must have kept that card because I miss those family times, too. Sue had such a great, dry sense of humor and I loved that about her. I am happy that I was able to share some time with her just two years ago at Marge's funeral. The two of us had a good laugh in the cemetery as she sat on my Dad's tombstone. I can't remember what we were laughing about but it was totally in character. I am so happy that she got to experience the joy being a grandmother -- a role that was such a natural for her. She loved her family. Rest in peace cuz. Donna Engelgau Koslow
Scott and Jerry
Already miss Sue immensely visiting at the south wall of the St Clair Marina, numerous lunches and about 15 trips (15 weeks) of all-inclusive resorts in Mexico. Sue furnished "fascinating" gifts for the winner of our daily 5 p.m. cocktail followed by hearts or euchre games. We could always depend on Sue to tell like it is. But often needed to brace ourselves. RIP Sue.
Best friends with Scott from 1st thru 9 th grades. New sue same years and played quarterback with Scott fresh year at PHC. Sue & Scott were best students all those early years of school so sorry to hear of her loss. Always will miss both

My sincere condolences to Mr. Gibson. Scott and his extended family. Scott, from the day you were born, you were the brightest light in your mom’s life. I had the honor of working along side of Sue for over 35 years at River District Lab. Sue was one of the most intelligent, ambitious techs I have worked with in my career. She was a mentor to countless coworkers she came in contact with.
Sue’s love of family and animals is a testimony to her good heart. Sue made a positive impact on so many people during her short life on earth.
Even though all who loved her will miss her dearly, I believe that she is in a better place, and is reunited with her mother and brother.
Sue, May God bless you and keep you. We will never forget the positive impact you made in our lives.
