Dr. Bolla,
So sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I remember a few yrs ago when your Dad was umpiring for my daughter's softball game. He made me laugh with the following, "Hustle in and Hustle out, that's what the game is all about." I'd never heard it before and it stuck with me. May you find comfort in fond memories...##imported-begin##Cindy Monticello##imported-end##

With great sadness we bid goodbye to Bob, knowing that he lived a full life that was filled with service to others. We shared many good times both in Michigan and Florida, and we will especially miss his recounting of his time in Chicago.##imported-begin##Rick & Cindi Ervin##imported-end##
Dear Dave,
My deepest condolences go out to you and your family at this most difficult of times.
Your father's wonderful life had a way of touching so many of those who were destined to spend time or grow up in his vicinity.
As an educator, as a citizen in his community, as a member of his church, and last, but certainly not least, as an official, he, without a doubt, always played it straight and fair.
And, along the way, he never ceased to remind us - who were lucky enough to witness his actions, and thus, forever learn to both understand and accept whatever score - that, from beginning to end, there really is no other way to play the game of life, except the right way.
In other words, with the utmost respect and a never ending appreciation for all the little parts of the big picture. All of which can't help but tie us all together, not only into overtime, but also from there to eternity, and all the inevitable elsewhere, even further beyond.##imported-begin##John Peurach##imported-end##
