I met Pauline through our mutual love of quilting. We had many other things in common dating back to our high school, our number of children and our 4 to one ratio. Even that our fathers worked in the same factory, doing the same job, on the same shift. We both grew up on the East Side of Detroit and shopped in the same stores. So many similar or exact facts! We became instant friends and I could not locate her for a couple of recent years. I regret hugely that I didn’t search harder for her! I have thought of her almost daily and truly miss our friendship. I find it hard to believe that one of her family never called me or stopped to tell me where she was, or that she had gone to join Louie and their daughter. Deeest sympathy to her family and their families. She was a wonderful woman and has will continue to be greatly missed!
