Paul F. Schoen III's Obituary
Paul F. Schoen III, age 72, of East China, passed away February 11, 2023. He was born August 28, 1950 in Detroit to the late Paul F., Jr. and June Schoen. He married Susan Kelly on July 1, 1972 in Ferndale.
Paul proudly served his country with the U.S. Army Transportation Corp and retired as Lieutenant Colonel on July 1, 1993. He enjoyed working on old cars and tractors, along with woodworking, stained glass and fishing. Paul was very influential member of the Veterans Club and Museum at the Washington Life Center in Marine City.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years; Susan Schoen and his children; Christian (Eduardo) Schoen and Meredith Stanko. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Xavier and Josiah Schoen and Sydnee and Kaycee Stanko, his brother; Eric Schoen, his nieces, nephew, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister; Grayce Cruden.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Casco Twp. A memorial gathering will take place one hour prior to the service.
