Patricia “Patty” Bassett, age 71, of Marine City, passed away January 25, 2026. She was born December 4, 1954 in St. Clair. Patty worked many years and was a well known lunch lady at Washington Elementary School in Marine City. Sh Read Obituary
I was named after her. She taught me so much growing up. I will miss her.
Patty your precious soul has touched so many hearts with your kindness and love. While our hearts are heavy, we rejoice that you are safe in the arms of our Heavenly Father. I am sorry to learn of Patty's passing. We were second cousins and I recall babysitting for Patty and her siblings. I left Marine City in 1961 to seek employment in major cities. Thus, I did lose contact with Patty and many of my other cousins. I am glad Patty found happiness as a good and loving Mother and I know she will be missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings and nieces and nephews. I will pray for Patty and her family.
