Nora Ann (Ozar) Szurpicki passed away at the age of 86 on Dec. 12 at home. She was a 20 year resident of Huntington Woods and a 32 + year resident of St. Clair. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 16, 1938 to Francis C. Oz Read Obituary
We look back on our times in Puerto Rico with such fond memories. We will miss Ann and her great sense of humor and all the fun things we did as couples. John we pray for comfort and peace for you and the family. Tricia and Lowell Noreen.
Ann was always friendly and welcoming when our families got together. She was very caring to my mother especially.
We moved to Huntington Woods in the early 70’s and found the Szurpicki family to be our next door neighbors. I loved them all. Ann was a role model for me. I had one baby boy and felt overwhelmed. Ann had 7 children and appeared to manage it all effortlessly. She taught me to feel blessed hearing a baby cry. She taught me to be calm amidst chaos. She hugged me and told me Motherhood would prove to be my most cherished accomplishment. Later, through life events I learned from Ann that life can still be enjoyed even with the loss of a child. She still smiled and laughed. I learned I could too. Rest in Peace dear Ann. You’ve led an admirable life and you’re admired by so many. Thank you for your huge impact on my life.
