Dear Mary Ann and Children,
I was greatly saddened to hear of the passing of your dear husband and father. I had the privelege of visiting with him at the reunion this past summer. He was a precious man who was filled with kindness and concern for others. His smile could light up any place he was. We grew up together and our fathers worked in the same union and trade as Nate would later. He will always be remembered with genuine love and respect.
May the God of all mercy and grace comfort you in this time of loss. May He who never sleeps wrap you in His loving arms and hold you close as you walk this road.
You are all in my prayers and thoughts.
Prayerfully,

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family. I was a fellow classmate of Nate's at St. Clair High School. I worked two summers with Nate in Marysville at the Loomis job. Nate and I rode motorcycles a bit before I left town in 1975. The family will be in my prayers.
Sincerely,

Dear Mary Ann and Family,
When I think of Nate it has always brought a smile to my face but today it brings a tear to my eye. He was a classmate, a good teammate for many years and a great friend for decades. Since leaving St. Clair, it has always been nice to get back home and the trip was even more special if I was able to see Nate. It was like I had not been away and we had that comfort level which comes from being old friends.
When I read what others have written here and in the Times Herald, people have mentioned his courtesy, kindness, thoughtfulness, his smile, being a hard worker, his zest for having fun and the love he had for his family. What wonderful tributes to his character and personality; may we all strive to incorporate those aspects of Nate in our daily lives. May each of you gain comfort and strength from knowing there are many people who are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.##imported-begin##Deane Sweet##imported-end##

At our 40th class reunion I'll never forget the man with a beautiful smile, arms crossed in front of him watching me. I was approached by Nate who than identified himself, and we instantly had memories of how we looked in elementary school!!We exchanged a few stories, and it was so great to see him again. Great guy who will be missed..##imported-begin##Lisa Greenway##imported-end##
