Mary Lou Stockwell's Obituary
Mary Lou Stockwell, age 72 of Marine City, was born in Mt Clemens to Edmund and Norene Durow on December 30, 1950. She died peacefully with her husband of 52 years (the light of her life, and caretaker) and children by her side on January 26, 2023.
Mary Lou loved to dance, even up until the end with the senior helpers and husband. She was an avid bridge and euchre player before dementia set in. But what she loved most was being with her family.
She is survived by her husband, DP Stockwell; daughters Kelly (Lance) Walenski and Kristy (Mark) Paquin; Grandchildren Abby Sung, Aundreah (Conner) Geml, Kaitlyn Walenski, Alexis and Trinity Paquin, siblings Kathy Benoit, Bill and Jim (Kay) Durow, Barbara Durow; in-laws, DeeDee Stockwell, Judy Stockwell, Helen (Ray) Schweihofer, David (Deborah) Stockwell, and many wonderful nephews, nieces and cousins
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kerry Dawn Stockwell; parents, and beloved in-laws Dennis and Helen Stockwell; brother-in-laws Dick Benoit, Steve and Bill Stockwell, and nephew Denny Stockwell.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Sunday, February 19th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Harvest Event Center, 6385 King Rd. Marine City, Michigan.
