When I met Mary I was just her daughter’s nephew’s new girlfriend. But she and I clicked like the kindred spirits that we are right away! She was a unique kind of special woman and one of my favorite humans. I wish I had gotten to spend more time with her and will always cherish the time I had. She will be greatly missed.

I also became familiar with Mary's husband, Dennis, and her father, Erwin Piechowiak. I very much appreciated their respect and friendship! I was deeply sorry for the untimely death of Dennis, more than six years ago, and now Mary, who battled cancer with fortitude and courage.
