Marvel A. (Janssen) Denomme's Obituary
Marvel A. (Janssen) Denomme, age 84, of St. Clair, passed away September 2, 2021. She was born in Detroit, February 10, 1937 to the late Marvin and Dorothy (Karn) Janssen. On March 2, 1957 Marvel married Earl V. Denomme and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Earl preceded her in death August 27, 2015.
She is the loving mother of Michele Denomme (Rick Ross) and Earl Craig (Janiene) Denomme. Beloved grandmother of Christina (Andrew), Aimee (Brady), Justin (Cary), Caitlyn (Ryan), Jordyn, Anna (Andy), Shane (Kaila) and Evan and great grandmother to Christina’s children Caden and John William, Caitlyn’s children Kylee, Alexander and Poppy, Aimee’s children Abigail and Bennet and Anna’s children Abel, Amelia and Adelyn. She was predeceased by a great grandchild, Levi. Also surviving are two sisters, Susan Kothe and Sharon (Dave) Kauffmann.
Marvel volunteered her time at the St. Clair Art Center, as a water exercise instructor for seniors at the Marine City School Pool, as a member of St. Mary’s Choir in St. Clair, the Red Hat Society and the Senior Olympics in Port Huron. She also cherished her time with her family and at many gatherings.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held Saturday September 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Marvel will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Most Holy Trinity Masoleum, Clinton Twp. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
