Dianna and I want you folks to know that your dad will be greatly missed. He was one of the best neighbors we've ever had the chance to share life with.
I remember the first time I met the man that moved into the house across the street and standing on the sidewalk learning of the events that led to them moving into the neighborhood. A fascinating account of how life so suddenly changed with so much distruction in the wake.
It was the first of many sidewalk encounters and sharing (sometimes on my sidewalk and sometimes on his). There just seemed to be a connection with this friendly face.
With the great news he shared early in the year I felt 2023 was going to be a summer of a building friendship.
But, that was not in the cards...
I do hope that God will bless me when I get to the other side, with a greeting from your dad. It would be awesome, to see him again.
Dianna says his friendliness to her was what she remembers... always a "hi"... and then a chat.
So, we want you to know you folks have our deepest condolences and our prayers for God's blessings of comfort at this time.
