Leonard Cichowski Jr.'s Obituary
Leonard Cichowski Jr., lovingly known as “Mr. C,” of Marine City, passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 77.
He was born on June 8, 1948 in Detroit to the late Leonard Sr. and Rose Cichowski. Leonard graduated from Salesian High School and went on to earn his degree from Wayne State University.
A dedicated educator and coach, Leonard served the communities of Algonac, Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in Marine City, and East China Schools. He made a lasting impact on countless students and athletes throughout his career.
Leonard enjoyed playing hockey as a goalie, attending high school sporting events, and taking trips to the casino. He will be remembered for his commitment to education, and the many lives he touched along the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard Sr. and Rose Cichowski, as well as his sister Patricia Kowalewski.
A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held in the spring at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marine City.
