Rest in Peace Dear Maestro, condolences to the family.
Marcello Patruno Ing. from Milan, Italy.

Lee was my stepfather and I will miss him. I noticed that my Mothers Virgina Lee's wife, side of his family was left out. I am Robert Lee Rose (wife is Jan) of Dexter GA, my brother Eddie Rose of Kimbal MI and our sister Penny Rose (husband Mark) of Marine City MI. Last time I saw Lee was for his 80th birthday when I came up to see him. I tool him to the River Crab for dinner. We enjoyed two weeks together eating meals and talking about old times and my mother. We both enjoyed watching the lake freighters pass by his house. He also played his Yamaha organ for me, he was a great musician. I last spoke to him in late January and did not know he had passed until last week.
I just found out Uncle Lee passed. I will miss him , he was quite the character and such a timely gentleman.
We called each other “Cous” even tho we were distant relatives. But Lee’s effervescence and love of music always shined - what talent, showmanship, and wonderful teacher! Through his musical gifts he shared with so many, he made the world a better and happier place! Thank you for blessing us with your love of music.
Lee Was There for Us
From the time we started school with Lee, he was “There for Us”.
We all remember his bright yellow and lime green Nehru outfits he wore to school and some of us might comment about them. They brightened our day and got us talking to each other.
He was the only person I remember who would play music to get us singing and dancing.
Many of us remember a few of our classmates and friends but I think we all recognized Lee was one of the leaders of our class by voting him class president.
Through his and our journey through school and life he maintained his interest is serving us by maintaining our class communication via the class reunions.
He was always looking out for us though we may not have realized his deep concern, camaraderie, and hope for our future. Through these attributes he helped shape a bit of our journey through life. I am grateful for having Lee as a friend throughout my school experience in St Clair and believe that he was always “There For Us”.

My memories of Lee go back to the late 1970s when he and Virginia bought an old house in Carsonville and did a complete rehab of it. I was a reporter for the Times Herald working out of the Sanilac News Bureau in Sandusky. I met Lee at the house and we did the interview while our photographer took numerous shots. We did a pretty good story. Years later, after our family moved to Port Huron, we joined St. Paul Lutheran Church. Lee was the organist for several years, always with a smile for everyone. Just being around him brightened the day. I will miss him.
Sorry to hear about Lee. He was playing organ at ST. Martin's Lutheran Church when my family went to church there and Pastor Nielsen was there. Good memories and such a nice man who could play anything.
