Karen L. Christie's Obituary
Karen L. Christie, age 69, of Marysville passed away peacefully January 16, 2014 after a courageous battle with Alzheimers Disease. She was born to the late Jack and Florence Wagner on April 17, 1944 in Wyandotte, MI. She married Tom Christie on February 16, 1973. She worked as a medical records manager at Mt. Clemens General Hospital. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Marysville and valued their Bible study group. She enjoyed boating and traveling, but the most important time spent was with her family.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband; Tom Christie, her wonderful son; Tom Christie and his wife Amelie Christie, her adorable grandson; Dylan Christie. She is also survived by her sister; Donna Sue Wagner, brothers; Ted (Denise) Wagner, Richard (Adrienne) Wagner, sister-in-law; Diane Webb, brother-in-law; Hank (Nancy) Christie and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and valued friends.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers over the years for their care and kindness.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Marysville. A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be given to the Blue Water Hospice Home, Marysville, MI. or Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
