Joseph Alfred Rochon's Obituary
Joseph Alfred Rochon of Marine City passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on May 2, 1955 in Mt. Clemens to the late Arthur and Delores Rochon.
Joseph proudly served the Marine City community as a firefighter from 1977 to 1993. He was an active member of the Marine City Lions Club and was deeply involved in youth activities, coaching little league baseball, umpiring his children's games, and serving as a Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed taking rides in his side by side to visit friends and was well known throughout the community. Above all, Joseph was a devoted family man. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, who truly had him wrapped around their fingers.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Mindy; his children, Emily (Tony) Callan, Alana (Stephen) Gottler, and Art Rochon; his grandchildren, Colin, Philip, Lily, Ezra, Hunter, Declan, Stephen, and Virginia; and his siblings, Gerry (Charmaine) Rochon and Joan (Mike) Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Delores Rochon; his siblings, Louie (Angela) Rochon, Sue (Chuck) Konik; and his infant brother, Arthur. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 4061 St. Clair Highway, East China, MI 48054.
