One of my earliest memories of Joe. This is back before Alana and I got married. Alana and I, and Joe and Mindy were traveling down to see Art graduate from boot camp. We had to stop at a hotel for the night. We were sharing a room. I think it was during dinner Joe had brought up “short-sheeting someone’s bed”, I think we were wondering if it happened to Art while in boot camp. I had never heard of short-sheeting and had trouble understanding how it worked. Guess who jumped in the shower first that night. Joe. Guess who short-sheeted his bed when he was in the shower. Alana. It was hilarious. He got outta the shower and tried to get in bed. It took him about 2 seconds to figure out what happened. “Who short-sheeted my bed?”, he yelled, frustratingly and proudly. He was so proud of his daughter.
