When I was in high school at MCHS about 20 years ago, I played on the tennis team. Many times Jack would show up around the time tennis practice ended to play tennis with a friend of his. I'm not sure how it started but we would regularly hit together until his friend arrived. After that, I called him once in a while to hit tennis balls with him at the courts. I enjoyed playing with him because it was always non-competitive and fun, as opposed to tennis practice. I believe he liked playing with me because he was much better than the other players his age:) Jack was a great guy and I still remember those times that we played tennis together. I found out from my Mom and Aunt that he passed away. So sorry for the family's loss. May he rest in peace. -Matt Phelan, East Lansing, MI
