John Henri Belisle's Obituary
John Henri Belisle, age 68, of China Twp., passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on September 21, 2017.
He was born March 13, 1949 to the late Jean and Ruby Belisle in Mt. Clemens. On July 11, 1970, John married Peggy Filice. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corp from June of 1967 to June of 1973, during the Vietnam War. John was a sheet metal worker for Local 80 for 36 years. His favorite hobbies were fishing and traveling.
John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Elizabeth Belisle; daughter, Jennifer Ann Salo; son and daughter in law, James Edwin and Jennifer Lynn Belisle; grandchildren, John David Belisle, James Xavier Salo, Steffani Alexandria Belisle, Nicole Elizabeth Belisle, Brooke Elise Belisle and Brianna Grace Belisle and great grandchildren, Matthew John DeBoever-Salo and Mahlia Lynn Salo and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will be Monday September 25th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. additional visitation Monday 10:30 to 11:00 at church prior to mass. Serving as pallbearers are: James Belisle, John Belisle, James Salo, Ray Marowske, Pete Belisle, Mike Anderson, Donald Belisle and Paul Roberson.
Memorials are suggested to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
