Joanne Beverly Laurain's Obituary
Joanne Beverly Laurain (nee Lewandowsky), age 79, of New Baltimore, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019. She was born October 31, 1939 in Detroit to the late Arnold Sr. and Virginia Lewandowsky. Joanne was a graduate of Huron High School, New Boston, MI in 1957. She worked many years at General Dynamics Land Systems, as well as Collins Aikman. Joanne loved volunteering. She assisted many organizations including Bay- Rama, Anchor Bay Community Foundation, New Baltimore Civic Club, and the Village of East Harbor.
She is survived by her children; Gerald Laurain, Cynthia (Richard) Holmes, Deborah (Jeffrey) Olsen, Eric (Jean) Laurain; grandchildren, Alan and Adam Allstrom, Jennifer Sowers, Jason Laurain, Phillip (Lauren) Labonte, Alicia and Brian Laurain, 15 great grandchildren; and brother, Arnold (Wanda) Lewandowsky Jr.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Baschal.
Per Joanne’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Walter and Mary Burke Park, 36300 Front St., New Baltimore, MI 48047.
