Joan Anne (LaCroix) Liniarski from St. Clair, Michigan, at age 80 passed to her new life on May 2nd, 2024 surrounded by family and in the arms of her loving husband of 62 years. She was born on Sept. 5th 1943 in St. Clair, Michiga Read Obituary
When we were freshmen at Holy Cross High School in Marine City, Mi, Joan, Stanley, John Spencer and I skipped school, we went on the ferry over to Canada. Walking for miles, we finally arrived at the little white church that was right on the St. Clair River. We could see the church from our classrooms and thought it would be a great adventure to skip school, after all, we were going to church!
Joan taught me how play "Heart and Soul" on the school piano so we could play it together. She also played for the class at recess during Christmas, we would all sing the Christmas Carols, thanks to Joan.
Joan, Stanley, Bob T. and I organized a talent show held at the gym at Marine City High School to earn money for the Holy Cross Church Fund. And yes, the four of us did perform in the talent show. It was a great success.
I would describe Joan during her high school years as full of vim and vinegar, always willing to pitch in and do whatever was needed for any of our schemes that we came up with.
These are just a few wonderful memories I have of Joan.

My mother, what a force to be reckoned with. Her heart was bigger than life itself. If she could she would save every soul and tell them about Jesus . I remember coming home from school one day and my Aunt was visiting. She said, “ don’t go up to your room, your mom has a girl up there sleeping in your bed right now “. Well I thought she was kidding but then my mom told me she picked up a female hitchhiker on I 94 . She wanted to help her straighten out her life. I was a bit freaked out with this. Years later that same stranger recognized my parents - when we attended a dinner fundraiser at a church. She announced herself and told us that my Mother had changed her life around for the good and she always wanted to thank them for that. The pride in my heart for my Mother and her beautiful ways of reaching the lost or broken without judgement will always be something I carry close to my heart.
Goodbye for now, please watch over us and bring Daddy peace. Visit with Michael and Jerry and let them know how much they are missed. I love you 💕

Joan was like a second mom tome for many years. She helped me through a difficult time in my life and then was one of my biggest cheerleaders. We attended a few of the same churches over the years and I so enjoyed our talks and the fact that she was always praying for me.
I can't wait to see her again. I know she's dancing and singing with Jesus.

I worked for Joan at the Foster Oil Gas Station in St.Clair. She hired me so I could work co-op my junior and senior year of high school 79/80, she became my mentor, taught me so much. Such a beautiful soul. Thoughts and prayers to the entire Liniarski and LaCroix families.🙏🏼♥️🕊️️
