James G. Mac Laren's Obituary
James G. Mac Laren, age 87, of China Township, passed away peacefully at home November 8, 2023. He was born July 26, 1936 in Detroit to the late William and Lorraine Mac Laren.
On September 29, 1956, James married Barbara Sales and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage. James was a 30 year employee of the Chrysler Corporation-Sterling Stamping. In his spare time James was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was always happy to pass along his knowledge and love of hunting and fishing to anyone wanting to learn. James loved to spend time with his family and great friends at the cabin on the island in the Middle Channel. The family cherishes the many great memories made there.
James is survived by his wife, Barbara Mac Laren; daughters, Jeannine (Greg) Lanuzza and Colleen (Don) Reuba; grandchildren, Steven Mac Laren Lanuzza and Jennifer Lanuzza (Jason Belusar) and great granddaughter, Genevieve Belusar.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Elizabeth Mac Laren, Mark Mac Laren and Pat Spence.
