Post a memory somewhere else, but I don’t know where it went so here we go.
When Jill told me that Jake had passed, I was dealing with another dilemma, but when we were done talking, it hit me like a brick.
I’ve known Jake since I was five years old, his sister married my brother and the rest is history. We grew up together, kind of grew apart as we got older, but things happen that way, but we still managed to keep in touch when we could either family reunions or birthday parties.
I just sat one night thinking about all the fun that we used to have when I used to spend the weekends or the summers at John & Carol‘s. The old saying is you don’t know what you got until it’s gone. It’s true very true and I can’t go back and change to try to stay in touch better or more often, but he will always be in my heart and I will always remember the memories that we had together rest in peace, my friend. It was a long road and you deserve to rest. I will see you again in heaven.
