Thank you Uncle Jack for being an extraordinary man who happened to also be a most fabulous Uncle! For the dollars slipped to us to spend on candy, the many-many chats at Grandma’s, the stories, the jokes, the smiles and winks, and your love, thank you. We should all live so well… Gracious, loyal, kind, strong, faithful, patient, sincere, and good humored. I treasure every moment I was blessed to spend with you. One particular was when I was asked to stay with Grandma after she had cataract surgery… oh was that an experience! He came nearly every day that week to check on her and me. Great conversations and some hearty chuckles… another was at Nick’s wedding, you asked me to dance… as we began you stopped and asked what I was doing, and reminded me that you were the man, then explained that “men lead and women follow.” Thank you for being the best kind of man and uncle See you in awhile!
Uncle Jackie lived a beautiful 97 year life full of love, respect, hard work, patriotism, outdoor sportsman fun and lots of laughs.
He spent 84 years as my mom's (Christine) big brother. Family events were always just a little bit more fun when Uncle Jackie was around telling stories and making us kids laugh.
I will miss his guidance, stories, dancing, humor and big laughs. I am comforted that he is with his beloved mom Martha, dad Horsrov, big brother Bobby, sister Lily and first wife Dolly. Mostly, I can hear him telling Jesus a good joke and that just makes me smile. For those of us missing him here....I pray you find comfort in your memories as you mourn the loss of your beloved dad, husband, brother, uncle, grandpa and friend.
RIP Uncle Jackie. I will always smile when i think of you.
