Harold Norman Danneels' Obituary
Harold Norman Danneels, age 96, lifetime resident of Marine City, passed away peacefully in his home on October 23, 2022. He was born June 11, 1926 to the late Odille and Nettie Danneels.
Harold proudly served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned and operated H.N. Danneels General Contractor for over 40 years.
Harold was a longtime member of the Marine City Lions Club and Southeastern Michigan Conservation Club. In his spare time Harold enjoyed duck carving and buying and selling tools.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife Vallary Sharrow Danneels.
Harold is survived by his son, William E. “Billy” (Sherry) Danneels; brother, William (Margaret) Danneels; longtime companion, Joanne Bracha; special friend, John Measel and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sons, Ronald and Robert Danneels; grandsons, Robert Danneels and Randy Sugars; siblings, Elaine Davidson, Viola Mayhew, August Danneels, Kenneth Danneels, Camiel “Bud” Danneels, Magdeline “Dolly” Wagner, Helen Zweng and Robert Danneels
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, October 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Urn interment with military honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to mass.
