I am only 17 years old, but I have one of her cookbooks in my hands. The illustrations/engravings are so charming, and I have tried a couple of the recipes inside. It saddens me to hear she passed before I could even contact her myself to share the delight I took in her recipes. She will forever be remembered!!!
Heard her on WHO Des Moines Radio years ago.Probably interviewed by Jan Mickelson.. It's 12/13/2023. I'm just a stranger, never bought a book, but just happened to remember her name. Thank you.

I never met your mom but really felt I knew her as I have many of her Secret Recipes booklets. They were so much fun to read and try. Gloria was so talented and I admired her. She was a special person with such talents and now she is on her special journey. We send our condolences to you for this wonderful lady. Blessings to you and your family. My sincere condolences to all of you. May your warm memories carry you through your grief. I have so many. Growing up, I was at your house as much as mine. I was always greeted with such happiness and love. And I got to taste test! There was always something on the table new to try! I was blessed to know all of you. Both of your parents will always hold a special place in my heart. Your Mom is with your beloved Dad now. I know she missed him so. Hugs, love and prayers.
