I grew up living next door to Gary and always thought of him as my big brother. My Mom was also from Cookeville, Tennessee and it took us over 50 years to find out that we were really cousins. I’ll always remember the great times and stories. Love you and will miss you, Cuz!
My memory of Gary was the lesson he thought me in 1976 out in front of Adair Bar on a bet on whose truck was the baddest - Gary's new Chevy or my new Ford! We emptied the bar out that night & chained up back to back & Gary proceeded to pull me all over Adair until I blew my transmission! R.I.P. Gary & thanks for the lesson - ur friend Ken Murphy!
So very sad my buddy my pal you are deeply going to be missed. I wish that I could of had just one more conversation with you 😕 but I will always use your words of wisdom "cherish each milliseconds of creating memories even if they are not so-so just reflecting on them could possibly help you one day.

The world has lost a big hearted person who was easy to talk to and laugh with! Uncle Gary will never be forgotten! He can be described as great, giving, and very generous. He was just an all around very good person with a lot of unique stories and good times to share with all who were lucky enough to know him! He will forever hold a place in many people's hearts, including mine! He told me he had a great life here on earth, I hope Heaven will be just as great for him.
