I am a college buddy of Gary's son, Dan. Dan and I met in the four wheel drive club at Michigan Tech in 1994 or 1995. Our club took a couple of excursions from Houghton, MI down to Detroit to go to the International auto show. One year, we chartered a bus from Michigan Tech. Gary and Jan hosted our entire club at their house!! Gary got military-style cots and filled the garage with them. We had kids sleeping on every available surface in that house! The day we left to return to Houghton, the Stockton family somehow was able to feed this entire crew with pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, coffee, and OJ. I think I personally ate like four grapefruits. The photos I've attached show our group inside the bus, and the other two photos are the bus pictured at the Stockton home in Casco!! We took the bus on a little side excursion over to Canada, and Gary was also instrumental in preventing one of our members from going to Canadian jail. Rest in peace, Gary, I will miss you. 🩷🙏

Mr. Gary helped me ship out a set of four wheeler fenders from his work at Riverside Tank. I needed a real big box and a real big amount of guidance. Gary took the time out for this idiot kid to make sure it was done properly. Just a good old core memory i will never forget.

I grew up living next door to Gary and always thought of him as my big brother. My Mom was also from Cookeville, Tennessee and it took us over 50 years to find out that we were really cousins. I’ll always remember the great times and stories. Love you and will miss you, Cuz!

My memory of Gary was the lesson he thought me in 1976 out in front of Adair Bar on a bet on whose truck was the baddest - Gary's new Chevy or my new Ford! We emptied the bar out that night & chained up back to back & Gary proceeded to pull me all over Adair until I blew my transmission! R.I.P. Gary & thanks for the lesson - ur friend Ken Murphy!

So very sad my buddy my pal you are deeply going to be missed. I wish that I could of had just one more conversation with you 😕 but I will always use your words of wisdom "cherish each milliseconds of creating memories even if they are not so-so just reflecting on them could possibly help you one day.
