I worked across the hall from Evelyn when I first started at Mercy Hospital. She was always an encourager and a delight to be around. She truly lived her Christian values even under the most difficult circumstances. I know she was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Diana L. Bucholtz.
Evelyn was an awesome mentor to me in learning how to do Pastorial Care at the hospitals. We became very good friends after that. so sorry for your loss, she will be greatly missed.Goodbye my sweet friend, Till we meet again. Eileen Dyer

I am so sorry for your loss! Knowing her was an incredible joy. Our favorite memory stems from the first dinner we ate with her and Dick. We entered their home with 5 small kids and Evelyn asked,"does your baby make strange?" Being from Georgia we had no idea of what this phrase meant. After we asked some funny questions she explained that the phase was simply asking if our baby easily took to strangers. We all laughed; Chad and I never for forgot that moment or the new phrase we learned!

Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift
That's why they call it the present
Evelyn said this to me and I never forgot it
I met Mrs. Deneau at Shekinah Christian Church. She always wore a beautiful smile and would hug you instantly and would always ask how are you? Such a beautiful woman of God. One never knows the impact of a hug or kind word. Thank you for being there for one special moment in my life with Christs love. I celebrate with you on your graduation day into Glory.
