Emmett LeBeau's Obituary
Emmett LeBeau, age 94, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 23, 1931 in Detroit to the late Gilbert Sr. and Anna LeBeau. Emmett married Ann LaFrance on August 22, 1959. Ann preceded him in death in 2018. Emmett proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean war. He worked for the US Army Tank Command (TACOM), as civilian employee, retiring after over 30 years of dedication. Following retirement, Emmett went on and received his associates degree in heating and cooling where he worked for local heating and cooling companies until he was in his mid-80s. He was an active member of the Lexington Knights of Colombus, serving as 4th degree and past Grand Knight. He was also involved in the Lexington VFW. In his free time, Emmett enjoyed playing cards, especially poker. He cherished the time he spent traveling with his family, including the memories at his cottage in Lexington.
He is survived by his children, Michele (Steve) Jones, Christine (Richard) Rockwell; grandchildren, Steve (Tabitha) Jones, Daniel (Nikki) Jones, Kyle (Jen) Jones, Krystal (Brian) McDowell, Vince Fronius; great grandchildren, Keegan Jones, Ariana Jones, Kai Cedre, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Elvira LaLone, Gilbert LeBeau Jr., Theresa Bertelsen.
The family extends a special thank you to Robert Weber for consistently coming to the house, presenting Emmett with communion, and Debbie Schweihofer for her comfort and care.
A funeral mass will be Thursday, December 4th at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at church prior to mass.
