I met Emmett at his wife's funeral. I eventually started cutting his hair since I did Ann's hair. When he gave up driving, I went to Michele's ( and Steves) and cut his hair there. He was a fiesty one indeed. He always had a story and loved joking and talking heating and cooling, which sounds rather drab , but not if Emmett was talking. We would laugh a lot. For the little hair he had, it sure took me over an hour ! He would always have a chocolate or two with my payment, which I loved. I just adored him. I learned more about Ann as time went on because he talked about her so much. And I'm expecting a canonization of Michele in the future. When I retired 2 years ago, I would occasionally come and visit him.We would have coffee( double cream) and a donut ( 3 donut holes) as he reminisced about TACOM, Ann' s nursing career,Lexington summers, Knights of Columbus, his girls.... I will miss him and our visits. He was very special to me. It has been a joy to know him and his family.
