Elizabeth "Betty" Marten's Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” Marten, age 92, of Algonac, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 5, 2024. She was born April 10, 1932 in Westland, Michigan to the late Arthur and Cecelia Woodruff. Betty married Donald Marten on November 25, 1957 and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2010. She worked for many years in the automotive industry as a seamstress.
Betty loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Charles) Becker, Dale (Susan) Marten, David (Lisa) Marten; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; sister Marcela (James) Sharp, along with many nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by her sons, Danny Yettaw, Douglas Marten; granddaughter, Brandy Yettaw; sister Rita Raymond; brothers, Donald Woodruff, Alvin Woodruff, Patrick Woodruff.
Private family services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Donald. A Celebration of Life for will be held at a later date. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
