She was a little fire cracker. She was my Aunt. To Donna, Dale, David & family, I’m so sorry for your loss. She was a special lady.I wanted to share a funny story about her that I remember.
I was about 7 or 8 years old & spent the night at their house in Wayne. The next day was Sunday & that meant attending church. They were Catholic & back then, females had to cover their heads during the service, with a hat or scarf, etc.
Just as we were pulling in the parking lot of the church, Aunt Betty looked at me & gasped. She said, you need something on your head. She then said to my uncle, Donald give me your hanky. Now, said hanky had been used just moments before this. Aunt Betty folded it up & placed it on top of my head. I was mortified, not to mention, grossed out. But against my loud protests, I was forced to wear a snotty hanky thru the entire church service. Of course I kept taking it off & Aunt Betty kept scolding me & putting it back on. It was a very long time before I stepped foot in a Catholic Church. And I never spent the night at their house again.
Rest in peace dear lady. I love you! Ronda
