Edwin F. Finn Jr.'s Obituary
Edwin F. Finn Jr., age 73, of Marysville, passed away March 31, 2026. Ed was born September 1, 1952 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Edwin Sr. and Martha Finn.
On July 8, 1972 Ed married Christine Weirmeir. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage prior to her passing on February 18, 2026.
Ed was a police officer in Macomb County for over 40 years. He was a faithful member and Past President of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Police Central Macomb Lodge #187. Ed loved riding his motorcycle, visiting the guys at the local motorcycle shop and his occasional trip to Tennessee. He was a familiar face at his grandchildren’s events, as he would serve as the family taxi service, making sure they were where they needed to be. Ed will be remembered by many as “Ed with the pipe” as he enjoyed smoking his pipe and being that quiet presence in the room. He was a loving husband, beloved father and cherished grandfather that his family could always count on and he will be dearly missed.
Ed is survived by his children, April (Tom) Churchill and Jason Finn; grandchildren, Tommy (Kaily Koth) Churchill, Alexis (Owen Lawson) Churchill, Kiley (Eric Stone) Churchill, Brodie (Trinity Clark) Churchill and Tina Finn; sister, Loretta McCauley as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with his wife and parents Ed was predeceased by his brother in law, Bill McCauley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Friday, April 10th4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10 – 11 a.m. prior to service.
