Saying “Our Deepest Sympathies” does not seem to express the sorrow we feel at the loss of our dear Edward.
Lynne - you were the most loving and caring wife he could have ever hoped to find, and the happiness you brought into his life was apparent from day one. The love you and Eddy shared went beyond Special. Your loving connection showed in every way. Thank You for taking such good care of him and making him So Happy.
Taunte - Your Edward was your rock and there are no words to describe your loss. It is unimaginable. Please know that our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you.

The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,

You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,

Eddy was a generous, fun-loving guy.
For me, personally, he always made me feel Loved and Welcomed into his world. He made it a point to always give Big Bear HUGs.
He encouraged me in my art by asking me to draw a menu cover for the pub, and if that wasn’t enough, he invited me, Mom and Berny to a celebratory dinner above the pub with Lynne, Taunte and Yvonne. It was a very Special Quality Time together - just one of many we shared.
There will never be another like him in this world - that’s for sure.
He knew what it meant to work hard and have FUN.
It comforts me to know that he is now joined with Memere, Uncle Bert, my Dad, cousin Larry and the rest of our relatives and that there will be no more suffering.
no more pain. He is finally at Peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful man, Eddy, a couple years ago when I visited Michigan with my fiancé Joshua Mertens (son of Rochielle Goulette, a cousin of Eddy’s). He welcomed us into his home, took us on a beautiful boat ride, and treated us to a great meal and good times at the pub. I will never forget his fun-loving personality and generosity. I am so excited to marry into such a wonderful family in September.
Great people are never forgotten, thank you Eddy for being one of those people.

I would like to give my Condolences and Payers to Lynn his wife, Aunt Lucille his mother, his children and grand child, and his brother and sisters, family and friends.
We may have called this gentle giant of a man by many different names son, brother, husband, dad, cousin, friend or just Ed. We all knew one thing that there was something special about this man.
I knew there was something special about him as a boy and young man. I think we all knew someone like Ed. He had the ability to take your hand, give you a hug, pat you on the shoulder to let you know you are ok and things will get better. He shared his special gift with me a long time ago back in grade school. We are going to have a reunion this September. I had written something I wanted to share with Cousin Ed and my classmates. I will share just the Butterfly Angles with you today and the rest for another day.
We all know that God has Angels that do different things. There is Michael the Arch Angel who is the defender of God’s domain. Gabriel the messenger of God that God sent down to talk to Mary mother of Jesus and that would come in the dreams of man to bring God’s bidding. We all have read about these Angels in the Bible.
I would like to tell you about another group of God’s Angels. These are by far the most beautiful Angels full of God’s love and happiness. When there is a special baby born, God will send down one of these beautiful special Angels to give Butterfly Kisses to this special child and fill them with Gods love and happiness. We all know of these special children because from that moment they have the gift of God’s love and happiness. They begin to share it with everyone around them. Their smile is warm and loving; their touch is so soft and comforting to all whom they touch. Their soft voice gives us comfort when they talk to us. The special children grow up to become special people with the gift of God’s love and happiness to share with us all.
We all knew that Ed had these special qualities because he shared them with us all.
