We’re very sorry to here of Don’s passing. He was a very nice, easy going cousin. We used to have lots of fun as kids at Kenny and Madeline’s house, where the family would get together. As we grew up our family became distant. After many years we met again at Roy’s funeral. Nothing seemed to change. We just got a lot older. Just having a chance to meet him again had a lot of meaning to me. Don was very successful in life. He met a girl, married her, raised two children, and lived long enough to see his grandchildren. To me, that is a life well lived. We will miss him.

Don and I worked on the ISO 14001 project at St. Clair. He took a leadership role in the Environmental Management System and approached it with mutual respect and some humor. I appreciated Don's efforts to make the ISO program a success at SCPP. I have wonderful memories of our discussions after the meetings where we'd talk about our kids and our spouses. He was a dedicated father and husband and I was proud to have worked with him.
I also had the pleasure to work with Don at the STCPP. He was a smart engineer who always was there in time of need. His greatest trait was his people skills, clearly indicated by the great respect people had for him. To Don’s family, while his passing is difficult, be comforted by the fact that his spirit lives on in each one of you.

Don and I became good Detroit Edison friends in the 1980s when I was at Marysville PP. A good man with an excellent sense of humor. I’m very sad to hear of his passing and send along my sincere condolences.
