I was one of Don's Health Care Aides at his daughters home and Don became one of my favorites. He loved his dog 🐶 to pieces, almost always by his side, in his chair on his bed, in the bathroom, and outside and in the car for rides, and sharing his breakfast with him. ❤️. He enjoyed sitting by his daughters front window and watching the freighters go by and knew almost all of them, and who's going out fishing. He enjoyed sitting outside when the weather was warm. He was a kind and generous man and I enjoyed helping him. RIP ❤️ I know he's with God in heaven now.
Living a few houses North , we would wait for Don to return in the boat and as he headed up the dock, we could always tell how well the fish were biting by how heavy the bucket was. He was a wonderful man always with a smile and a wave. He will be missed.
Don was one of being able to laugh, smile and cry! He was a friend of mine who enjoyed life and its wonders. We both graduated from Marine City High School in 1949. We both served in the US Navy and spent years with the Korean War, Don left and I stayed for numerous years. We never met again!! But I always remembered Don…and was 6 months older. DON never the less I need to find how to reach 7 more months. Have peace my friend and GOD bless the family. Louis Christensen, Savannah Georgia
Don was a longtime friend and neighbor since 1968 making him the oldest original Pointe Driver left. Don sure loved sharing his knowledge of trolling this beautiful blue river as he was one of the best! Rest in peace my friend, my condolences to the family.
Don had an infectious smile which will be sadly missed, Don stood by his bride until her passing and those who knew him will be a better person with Don as their mentor. I got to know Don through the Marine City Old news Boys.and Girls. Don worked on many fund raising projects and was active for many years. Thank you Don for your service to our Country and Community. Rest in Peace.
