Donald A. Fahs' Obituary
Donald A. Fahs, age 89, of Casco Twp., passed away October 30, 2017. He was born December 25, 1927 in Casco Twp. to the late Leonard and Hattie Fahs.
On November 5, 1949 Don married Lorraine Kammer. He served with the U.S. Army, serving 6 months of his tour in Japan. Don was a lifetime area farmer. He worked at the Diamond Crystal Salt Plant for 22 years, he then retired back to his family farm. Don also was a former co-owner of the Adair Grain and Feed. He was an outdoorsman and especially loved working out in the woods. Don was also an active lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Casco Twp.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Lorraine Fahs; children, Marsha (Dennis) Bilina, Cheryl (Ronald) Myers, Lorna (Brad) Muggelberg, Cindy (Gary) Duncan, Cal (Kelly) Fahs and Jeff (Judy) Fahs; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and his faithful companion, Prince. He is predeceased by his parents; brother, Walter Fahs and grandson, Nathan Myers.
Funeral service will be Monday November 6th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Casco Twp. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to service.
