Sorry to hear of Don's passing. Always enjoyed our conversations and will miss chatting with him at the social gatherings. He lives on with those he touched with his kindness.
The family of Elmer & Christina Scruggs extends our deepest sympathy to Jane, Donnie's children and grandchildren. We are sorry for your loss.
Donnie's mother (Martha Scruggs-Davenport) and my father are brother and sister.
Our families grew up spending most weekends together and making many childhood memories to last forever.
For these past 78 years, Donnie's remained our kind, caring and loving cousin. We shared so many stories that he loved to talk about.
The very moment Donnie introduced me to Jane, I could see they were blessed and meant to be together.
Until we all reunite, rest in peace Donnie.

God bless you with strength at this difficult time. Sincere Sympathy. Janet DeMist
We were saddened to hear of Don's passing. He was such a kind and caring man. At this sad time it is so hard to imagine what you are going through. Hold on to all the wonderful memories that you both shared. I will always remember him sitting at the table when I would come downstate to visit. We would get him laughing at our stories about our crazy high school days. He would always tell me to have a safe trip back and we shared a hug. Jane, I will always be there for you just as you have been there for me . Keeping you and family close in caring thoughts and prayers.

Jane,
Don was one of the nicest men Jack & I ever met. Jack found him very interesting and easy to have a conversation with. Always interested in how we were doing. Every time we saw you two together you were smiling and laughing. You looked like 2 love birds all the time. May strength come to you from the memories you have of him.
Our prayers are with you.
