Diane J. Steinmann's Obituary
Diane J. Steinmann (nee Johnson), age 71, of St. Clair passed away October 13, 2017. Diane was born April 4, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Walter and Virginia Johnson. Diane was a graduate of Mt. Clemens High School in 1964 and Michigan State University in 1968, where she received her teaching degree.
On December 21, 1968, Diane married Karl Steinmann. She was a teacher at Lakeview School District until 1980. Following her teaching career she and her sister Linda owned and operated Steinmann LTD from 1980 to 1990. Diane was the first Executive Director of the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce. She was an active member of the St. Clair Rotary, St. Clair Garden Club and the St. Clair Golf Club.
She is survived by her husband, Karl “with a K” Steinmann; sisters, Linda Baarck of Mt. Clemens, Jolyne Fisher of Lexington and Karen Johnson of Costa Rica. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A memorial tribute will be held Friday November 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the St. Clair Golf Club. Memorials are suggested to the St. Clair Rotary. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
