I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear that Deann passed away. She will be truly missed! Deann always led the way in everything she did and she enjoyed sharing her knowledge and her stories of your family and those great Mimi moments. I worked with her in Romeo, Lapeer and at Saginaw Valley. Jennifer, you may remember that I tried to help with whatever I could after your Mom's accident. Thank you Deann for all of the wonderful summer memories at Broken Rocks and your warm hospitality. The house was always so full of fun and FOOD! :) Such a wonderful cook and we shared a love of gardening. Your rhubarb patch at the beach was the best. I am sad to learn of the passing of Deann. I worked with Deann at Cramton Center, in Lapeer, MI. She was a terrific leader who loved working with children and a wonderful friend. She was such a multi-talented lady. She taught me so much. We had so many fun times at Cramton....we shared and laughed about something different every day. We would play tricks on Deann and she would get back at us! She was a talented knitter (among so many other crafty talents she possessed). She was always there to help me with my knitting projects. Her family was so important to Deann. She loved them dearly. She always kept us updated on what her daughter Jennifer and her precious grandchildren were up to. You are truly blessed by God to have Deann in your life. I was blessed to know her.

I am so sad to learn of dear Deann's death. My memories are all good. Deann was the personification of gracious hospitality. Her warm welcome knew no strangers and, oh my, were we ever well fed! Such an exemplary educator and administrator - it was all about the children all the time. And what a wry and witty conversationalist - so well read, skeptical but never cynical -ever the optomist. Deann was a good woman. She was a blessing in my life and I will miss her until we meet again.
