On behalf of the Gauthier family, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who were there for us (present or in spirit) as we said good-bye to Colette today. Whether you attended the funeral, sent flowers/card/food, lit a candle or even just said a prayer, we are truly grateful and humbled with the overwhelming generosity and love that was shown to us. We thank from the bottom of our hearts.

What do you see when you look into the eyes of the homeless person pushing a cart down the sidewalk on your way to Karmano's Cancer Center for treatment? Do you see someone to pity, to tolerate, to despise - or do you see the face of Christ? Colette had care packages made up and handed them out her car window; She saw the face of Christ. When I looked at Colette, I saw the face of Christ. That is the memory I hold dear to my heart when remembering Colette, my Bible study buddy, my friend, my sister in Christ. We will walk hand in hand one day when Colette greets me in HEAVEN.

What an inspiration you were to me Colette, you made me realize that God's love for us should show in every aspect of our lives. That kindness is something we should show everyone, especially the less fortunate. You made me a better person by showing me what a truly selfless soul is like. I was in awe of you.
