Christopher Holt's Obituary
Christopher J. Holt, age 53, of St. Clair, formerly of Sault, passed away September 2, 2010 at St. John's Hospital, Detroit after a brief illness.
He was born January 19, 1957 in Manistique, Mich. to Donald and Sally Holt.
On October 15, 1982 Christopher married Danielle Tivy.
Christopher called St. Clair his home for the past 28 years. He lived life to the fullest and always shared this with family and friends. Chris was passiononately involved in many organizations. He was very active with his children and their school, the Knights of Columbus, as well as his church to name a few. Chris had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and trusted friend.
Chris loved his family, hobbies, and work. He made a change in so many people, especially when he donated his organs to save so many more lives. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and all the lives he quietly touched.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Danielle (Tivy) Holt, children; Jacob, Shelly, and Benjamin Holt, parents; Donald and Sally Holt, siblings; Angela Rodney and Michelle (Ernie) Maas and 11 nieces and nephews, 3 sisters in law, and 2 brothers in law.
He was preceded in death by a brother Todd Holt.
Funeral services will be held Saturday Sept. 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, 610 S. Water St. Marine City, MI 48039. Following mass a luncheon will be held at the St. Clair Knights of Columbus Hall, 3501 Rattle Run Rd. St. Clair, MI 48079.
Visiting hours are Friday Sept. 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp.
