Callie was a very kind person. I remember my mom and I would sometimes come over to her home and she would make a fabulous dinner. She could really cook. I miss her. I also miss her daughter Sue who was once married to my brother.

I am blessed to have many fond memories of my grandmother, teaching me how to bake, reading me Dr Seuss books and being the only person that would play endless games of Chinese checkers with me. I cherished her home and all the comfort it gave me, from the feeling to the smells. My playground was her yard. We gardened together and fished and played around the world at the basketball hoop every time we were able to. I would mow her massive lawn because I loved it so much, but she'd sneak me $20 for it anyways. I sat with her many afternoons and evenings, watching 'the regulars': Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Days of Our Lives and the news. She'd also sneak Matlock and Murder, She Wrote in there too. I'd watch her in awe at how fast she could crochet and watch TV at the same time. Many things I do in life with her in mind. I remember her fondly, think of her often and love her always. May she rest in peace.

My journey with Ms. Callie started 14 yrs ago when the good Lord guided us to buy the house next to her.
We became good friends immediately, I’m positive it was her southern charm😀
She was the most generous, kind, unselfish and beautiful person inside and out that I have ever met.
You all know southern people love to cook and boy she cooked, canned and baked. Dont get me started on all the cookies she shared with my family. I will miss my dear friend, especially the tea and coffee time we had everyday.
I remember her from my childhood. She would sing while working in her kitchen. I would hear her when I came by to see Susie . Her southern accent was so sweet. Such a kind lady. God bless her.
