Bill Sprader's Obituary
Bill Sprader, age 85, of Richmond, passed away March 22, 2018. He was born September 29, 1932, in Columbus Twp., to the late William Sr. and Anna Sprader. On March 28, 1953 Bill married Patricia Mary Zimmer. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Patricia predeceased Bill on August 25, 2013.
Bill served with the U.S. Army 3rd Battalion and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was employed with Asplundh Tree Expert Co. for 40 years. Bill enjoyed playing cards every week at the American Legion, St. Clair. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Bill is survived by his children, Jill Sprader of Kalamazoo, Linda (Jim) Mania of Indiana, Julie (Steve) Reimer of Chesterfield, Kenneth Sprader of Memphis and Todd (Cheryl) Sprader of St. Clair; grandchildren, Shawn, Sarah and Selene Salazar, Eric and Brian Mania, Steven, Taylor and Alex Reimer and Koda Sprader; brother, Raymond Sprader of Arizona; sister, Alice Chodacki of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Salazar; brothers, Bernard, Norbert, Robert and Paul Sprader and sister, Dorothy Horkenbach.
Funeral services will be Monday March 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 prior to service.
