I thought about Betty all day today, and all the good times we had during our time together at Mallards. We missed her so much when she retired, but we also knew she was tired and needed to put down her swiffer. She loved the challenge of cleaning my office and scolded me when I messed it up. Her favorite room to clean was the beauty shop. She always said she loved that room, and it showed. She was a busy woman but always had time for a kind word for the residents who loved her as much as I did. We always enjoyed hearing about your fabulous trips, and I have many special treasures around the house that she brought me from far and wide. She was a special lady and I am proud to have called her my friend. I did have to smile when I read her name in the paper...thank goodness you said Betty instead of that other name! She would like that. Thinking of all of you.
