Betty Anderson's Obituary
Betty Anderson, age 96, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully August, 14 during a beautiful song that was being played to her by her bedside. It was as if the calming music gently laid her to rest as she crossed over to heaven. She was born October 4, 1921. Betty married Ray Anderson on June 6th, 1941 in St. Clair. They were married 59 years before he preceded her in death in 2000. Betty, along with Betty Winslow started the concert at the gazebo in St. Clair. She is a retired music instructor, member of the First United Methodist Church, and a lifetime member of Eastern Star Cornell, Marysville #93 where she played organ for many services.
She is survived by her beloved son Eric Anderson, of Mt. Shasta, CA, who cared for his mother from February 4th, to July 15, 2018, many nieces and nephews, and her cat, Peppy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Wood; sisters, Shirley Arnold and Mary Doerr; brothers, Peter, Jim, Tom, and Daniel Wood and brother-in-law, Fred Arnold.
Cremation arrangements with Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A grave side service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair on Wednesday, August 29 at 10 a.m..
