Lislee,Jamie,Ben,and the Kaufman family, I am very, very sorry that your Dad left you now he is on his way to heaven, Bernie tell Phil that I miss him and love him very much. Bernie loved living in Peacock Michigan, he loved growing flowers, trees, and listening to the different kinds of birds. Bernie planted many trees and flowers for me and when I look out my windows I cry and think of his kindness and his knowledge of construction
where he and Phil worked together on different projects. Bernie loved planting flowers and trees at his house and mine, he told me he always wanted to go into landscaping. He also said to me that he wanted to be buried in Peacock Cemetery where he has a plot, to be by the woods, the flowers the, birds and other animals. THANKS to his children his wish will come true. Bernie went to work with Tom a t St Ann's Senior Citizen putting silverware in a napkin for the many seniors that eat there, he made many, many friends especially the ladies. The center got a nice soft recliner just for him, he really enjoyed it until he got sicker. Bernie suffered a lot with his liver disease not from alcohol his caretaker, Tom, took good care of him until he got so sick he needed professional help and a doctor close by. Bernie always had a smile on his face when I visited or when him and Tom came over. We had a small birthday party in February and he came to my house for dinner he was so happy. So now he no longer is suffering. Dear Lord grant him eternal rest ,and life ever lasting may he rest in peace, GOODBYE good friend and neighbor Maggie Huckleberry and Tammy Connor
