Barbara A. Thompson's Obituary
Barbara Ann Thompson, age 81, of Marysville, passed away September 29, 2024. She was born April 3, 1943 in St. Clair to the late Walter and Gretchen Young.
Barb graduated from St. Clair High School and then attended Eastern Michigan University receiving her bachelor’s degree in home economics. Her teaching career spanned 30 years with the East China School District, starting at the St. Clair High School then moving to the St. Clair Middle School and finishing her career at the Marine City High School.
Barb’s professional life skills spilled over to her personal life as she loved sewing, knitting, quilting and baking. To experience her stitchwork or handmade quilts or taste her cooking, you knew everything was done to perfection.
The love she carried for her daughter, son in law and grandchildren was immeasurable. She was so proud of each of them. Whether, it was attending her grandchildren’s sports events or following their careers, Barb was their #1 fan. She will be dearly missed by her family and close friends.

In addition to her parents, Barb was predeceased by her granddaughter, Leigha Houston and brother, Duane Young.
